Abstract

The present disclosure provides methods and compositions for producing a desired biological product. Using the compositions and methods of the disclosure, a biological product may be obtained by culturing a population of host cells capable of producing the biological product in a culture medium. The culture medium may include a peptide extract that has been obtained from a population of previously cultured cells (e.g., previously cultured yeast cells).
