Abstract
The Iranian nuclear program causes a lot of apprehension in the international community, especially when taking into consideration the often bombastic declarations by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The present paper aims to analyse the motivations of the nuclear Iranian program, and what the strategic consequences will be if Iran manages to develop his nuclear program, proposing several alternatives, but excluding the sponsorship of a coup d'etat.
