Abstract

This chapter looks at the main findings of the volume on the political economy of the euro crisis and answers the following questions: What was the national growth model before the crisis? What were the primary causes of the crisis? What problems did the EU/troika identify? What were the major reforms undertaken by the government? What remains to be done? It considers the endurance of national growth models and the utility of the varieties of capitalism framework, albeit with some caveats.
