University of Aveiro and the Ministry of Education established a partnership in 2009-2010 in order to have a group of researches supporting, evaluating and investigating the first year of implementation of the Probation Period, required in Portugal to get a permanent teaching position (PSAAPPP). In this paper results of the research developed are presented focusing the formative strategy that was implemented, the perceived outcomes and processes, and the perceptions of the participants. Thus paper the whole Program is presented, articulating the objectives of each article within this thematic folder, and establishing its coherence with the theoretical field of supervision, professional development and induction.
