Abstract

Death and Democracy is a generative audiovisual installation that explore the political, theoretical and emotional spaces around Democracy, Freedom, Politics and Contemporaneity. Exploring art as a form of documentation this piece documents a moment, a place and a collective state of mind. More than a narrative, it brings textures, conflicts, fears and strengths, in a chaotic and noisy space of struggle for information, truth and clarity. Death and Democracy is not a moral lesson, in the form of a monument, the non-legible shapes, spectrum of voices and attracts and hypnotize the audience in an exploration of a non-tangible reality, presenting it in an emotional, textural and raw way.
