Abstract

This study introduces an integrated framework for operations management, encompassing demand forecasting, capacity allocation based on estimated demand, due date assignment for incoming orders according to allocated capacity, and utilizing due dates as scheduling rules and performance evaluation criteria. We provide detailed insights into implementing this innovative approach, leveraging regression models and neural networks. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive review of alternative methods applicable to this framework. Our method offers practical applicability across diverse sectors of operations management, yielding tangible outcomes, which we elucidate in this study.
