Abstract
Literary journalism has been throughout time the target for several international studies. Since it is a genre that stands out by breaking through the techniques and traditional methodologies that define the so called conventional journalism, this journalistic format opens up many ethical-practical questions about its conception, factuality and narrative choices. This type of journalism knows currently in Portugal a distinct emancipation through the writing of great names of national journalism who seek to face reality in a more humane, immersive and descriptive manner; far from the formalities of the lead or the inverted pyramid.
This investigation aims to touch upon some of the edges of this type of journalistic investigation and to contribute, positively and critically, to the construction and localization of a possible historiography of Portuguese literary Journalism.
