Abstract

Febrile Neutropenia is considered one of the most frequent complications in oncology patients treated with Chemotherapy, resulting in serious complications. This work aims to identify autonomous and interdependent nursing interventions that promote the prevention of septic shock in oncology patients undergoing Chemotherapy with Febrile Neutropenia. To this end, an integrative literature review was carried out in the CINAHL Complete, MEDLINE Complete, Nursing & Allied Health Collection: Comprehensive Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Cochrane Methodology Register Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts and MedicLatina databases, having selected nine articles that fulfilled the research criteria. The results found make it possible to identify the nursing interventions involved in the care of oncology patients submitted to treatment of Chemotherapy with Febrile Neutropenia preventing septic shock. These were grouped in eight units of analysis of Nursing Interventions, and the most prevalent in the studies analysed were Compliance with protocols/Guidelines for action and Health Education. They have also been grouped into autonomous and interdependent according to the REPE (Regulamento do Exercício Profissional do Enfermeiro – Regulation on the Professional Activity of Nurses) to answer the research question.
