Abstract

The analysis of the value of human life in the hypotheses of defences leads us to conclude that life does not have an absolute and completely inviolable nature, as long as certain legal requirements are fulfilled. We discuss whether and to what extent death penalty is legitimate, especially by analyzing scholarly work on the death penalty in the United States of America.
