Abstract

We propose to reflect on the symbiosis between the relations called for the educational action that concomitantly contributes to the integral development of the human person and society. Based on the assumption that education is an intentional activity, we highlight it as a condition for the affirmation of the citizen in the context of the polis, as well as for the sustainable development of peoples. The discourse of education also proposes that human well-being can consolidate individual actions with the ability to perceive the reality of each one, to better interact with the social and cultural environment in which we live. In this sense, a social plurality will allow individual performance to establish itself with dignity for the construction of citizenship once collective thinking is fundamental for the development and progress of the nation. It is urgent to reflect on its theoretical assumptions and establish a cultural pact whose creative activity of the individual materializes in the construction of innovative ideas that enhance the process of building citizenship. This essay aims to: show that the essence of education is present, from the first hour, in Christian literature; demonstrate that Christian pedagogy prolongs, deepens, and improves this intentional improvement of the human being.
