Abstract

This volume is part of the long cultural tradition of looking again at the body that we are. It is also part of the line of work developed by the Manuel Sérgio Chair – Sport, Ethics and Transcendence. The Chair assumes that its mission is not only to cultivate the study of Manuel Sérgio's work, but also to continue on the path he opened, deepening the humanist matrix of his philosophy and exploring paths opened by his original vision of human motricity. This is precisely the case of the essays that embody this work. Possibly for the first time (at least with this aplomb), a group of theologians and religious scholars dialogues with Sergian thought or with central themes in his work, approaching something never explored until now: a theology of human motricity.
