Abstract

Sibling violence it still an underestimated phenomenon, and Portugal is no exception in this perspective. However its study is fundamental for a better understanding of the phenomenon of violence, especially in the family context. This study intended to analyze, a sample of Portuguese university students the internal structure of the CTS2-SP (sibling version), which is a self-report measure for assessing the use of conflict tactics in a fraternal context. The results confirmed the multi-dimensional model comprising five factors proposed by the authors, as well as their adequacy to assess the fraternal violence.
