Abstract
This paper proposes a look into the personal sketchbooks, register of the daily observation, mostly drawn, as testimony of daily life, understood as journey. Register, repository, list, the sketchbook is not, however, a static entity, some sort of warehouse of the journey. It is mainly transit, dynamism, articulation of languages. Seen as an attractive, urban and modern proposal of a travel guide, beyond the cast of places and schedules, sketchbooks propose the reader-observer a double metamorphosis: the one produced in the sketchbook’s artist and writer, and the one that can be experienced by us as readers.
