Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to understand theobstacles to e-commerce in Portugal compared to other Europeancountries. In order to understand the variation of the e-commercepractices in Portugal, a model was proposed. In this model fourconstructs were used as explanatory variables: Perceived Risks; Perceived Ease of Use; Perceived Usefulness; and Online Experience. This model was tested in a sample of 101 respondents which allowedfinding a positive correlation between the E-commerce Practices andthe Perceived Ease of Use, the Perceived Usefulness, and the OnlineExperience constructs.
