Abstract
Television fiction is today a strategic enclave for Ibero-American audiovisual production, both because of its weight in the television market and the role it plays in the production and reproduction of the images that these peoples make of themselves and through which they recognize themselves. The telenovela was a determining factor in the creation of a national television capacity that was projected not only in an extensive production but also in a particular appropriation of the genre, that is, its nationalization. For this reason, the observatory focuses on mobilizing the world market for television fiction, through which the processes of internationalization of audiovisual production.
