Fontes gregas da Comédia Eufrosina: o contributo de Erasmo

The classical references present in Jorge Ferreira de Vasconcelos’ works not only testify the reading of Classical Latin writers, but also the resource to compendia and mythological manuals. Regarding the access to Greek authors, erasmian works were of particular importance, for in addition to Ovid, Cicero, or Ravisius Textor’s Officina, Erasmus’Adagia and Apophthegmata were the basis of his knowledge of Homer, Plutarch, or Diogenes Laertius.
