Abstract

In this paper, we present Fr. Francisco de Sto. Agostinho de Macedo. Jesuit, before, Franciscan after. He is figure is very interesting on Portuguese baroque period, especially for your defense of the Portuguese Kingdom in front of Spanish kingdom. But also he has an important philosophical and theological interest. Here we analyse an as¬ pect of his work -redemption and grace-, because it is a topos of baroque scholasticism and because in this topic we can see the relationship between Scotism and suarism.
