Abstract
The material study of Portuguese wooden painting presents shortcomings, justified by its generous production as well as by the social complexity of workshops. Our PhD project1 aimed to identify and define historic criteria and methodologies of past interventions and to separate them from original techniques of production, since it had never been done before. The project also aimed to find some corpus regarding Portuguese terminology, which was scarce.
