Abstract
This reflection is to be understood within the specific context of fundamental theology, but more precisely in what concerns the structuring of the theological discourse in general. Once redeemed the need to move away from Catholic Apologetics, and actually reconciled with it, nevertheless, in its pure theological nature, fundamental theology is still an intelligent act of faith about faith itself, a discourse on the foundations of the theological thinking and living. In this way, we intend to meditate on the structure of that living and thinking, in the light of the concept of mercy, starting from that theological horizon to which the theological rationality itself must be tuned.
