Abstract

Application programming interfaces (APIs) are an essential part of the operation of contemporary computer systems. Their treatment by copyright law is still unclear. This text analyses the US Supreme Court’s Google v. Oracle decision and critically reflects on APIs and their status under European Copyright Law.
