Abstract

Wine production is one of the most important agro-industrial activities. The quality of the grapes produced in a vineyard depends on how the vine adapts and responds to the climate and the type of soil. Managing this quality is a fundamental aspect of wine production. This invention describes a method for monitoring grape production based on deuv-vis-swnir (ultraviolet/visible/near infrared) spectroscopy, and how to obtain and process information on the grape's physicochemical characteristics from this data. based on this invention, the production manager has information to: determine the uniformity of the grapes in a given vineyard; establish vineyard allotments based on the characteristics of the grapes; monitor the development and maturation of the grapes; detect areas of the vineyard with specific or anomalous characteristics; monitor the development of the metabolite profiles in the grapes.
