Abstract
The TEIP ‐ Territórios Educativos de Intervenção Prioritária program emerges as a policy response to prevent and reduce school dropout, absenteeism, and indiscipline, and additionally to promote educational success, developed in 136 schools. The TEIP project implemented in Agrupamento de Escola José Régio, Portalegre is presented. This study gives voice to the school community, supported by i) semi‐structured interviews with five social actors, the school’s principal; the TEIP project coordinator; a school social worker; the president of parents’ association; and a student, and as well as ii) documental information, specific literature, legislation, and guidance documents of this school.
