Abstract
This text draws an epistemological sight into the seventh art as a way for expressing and experience reality. Film narrativity promotes communicational structures that, together with fiction, recompose and redirect reality towards new ways for comprehending and exploring it. Films are propositions closed in their expression and form, but open to the meanings and senses they authorize. Cinema requires from spectators an active participation in reading processes that implicate their biographies, expectations and vital contexts. Therefore, films become privileged places for non-formal and formal learning, where the creativity of film expression and the spontaneity of cinema experiences cohabit in an organic and cyclic process of communication and impact.
