Abstract

Emotional intelligence literature has shown that interventions in the area of emotional skills promotion, including emotional education programs in schools, can play a decisive role in well-being, achievement, success, positive development and happiness. of children and youth. This project focused on the conception, implementation and evaluation of the program MusicalMente – Emotional education with musical theater. It is a program in which, through ludopedagogical artistic and cultural activities, integrated in inter and transdisciplinary musical theater projects, it aims to promote and develop emotional skills in students from 1st to 12th grade. The results obtained in the application of the program at the Loures Conservatory of Arts (CAL), carried out in the professional practice of the Master in Music Teaching, at the Católica-Porto School of Arts, verified that this was effective in developing emotional skills and with high receptivity on the part of the students, promising proposal for the development of the students emotional competences, through the accomplishment of artistic projects of musical theater.
