Abstract
This article analyses the main features of the principle of inclusion of employees suffering from disability, especially at the light of the European Union Law – Directive 2000/78/EC and the Court of justice case law – and the revised European Social Charter, in dialogue with the Portuguese legal experience. In particular, this study addresses the principle of equality and non discrimination on grounds of disability and the obligation of reasonable accommodation as a dimension of such principle.
