Abstract

The well-being of teachers is a particularly relevant topic and is receiving increasing interest. However, studies on schools abroad are scarce, which is why this study aims to explore the well-being of these teachers, in particular, to describe their subjective well-being and well-being at school, exploring the role of personal and professional variables in teacher well-being. To this end, a sample of 58 teachers teaching in Portuguese schools abroad participated in this quantitative exploratory study, most of them women, aged between 27 and 69, answering questionnaires related to the variables under study. The results suggest an overall positive subjective well-being, above the midpoint, and significant relationships with organizational variables. These aspects are discussed. Further research in this area is also suggested.
