Abstract

In addition to being a fundamental right, the right to know one's origins is characterized as a true and proper right of personality because it aims at the protection of legal goods intrinsic to the human person and essential to the development of individual personality as a right that concretizes the rights to personal integrity and identity and to the free development of personality, fundamental and personality rights which have as their ultimate foundation the dignity of the human person. In fact, these fundamental rights, in conjunction with their fundamental nature, assume the character of personality rights, constituting absolute subjective rights enforceable erga omnes.
