Abstract

Frammed all interdisciplinary aspects in creative and formative actions that are accomplished in music composition, two types of interdisciplinary behaviour are proposed to contemporary music teaching process. First, Jonathan Harvey’s Madonna of winter and spring is spread out to different disciplinary concepts, and proposed as elements of approach in each curricular units of the common branch of Bachelor in Music of the School of Music and Performative Arts of Polytechnic Institute of Oporto. Secondly, the most common action, the Interdisciplinary Project, developed between the Bachelor of Teachers for Basic Studies, Musical Education branch, and Bachelor of Artistic Animation, both from the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, under these doctoral studies, and whose pedagogical actions leed up the composer José Luís Postiga to the composition of the music that is used in the performance work O espírito dos 4 elementos (The four elements spirit).
