Abstract
In the following reflections, we intend to briefly review the main novelties introduced in the Public Utility Status regime by Law 36/2021, of 14 June, which approved the new framework law on the public utility status. The diploma standardizes this status, revoking special regimes both in terms of their attribution and in terms of the respective substantive regime. Thus, it is imperative to assess this new regime and how it is applicable to entities that already benefited from the status of public utility – or equivalent – when said Law entered into force.
