Abstract
According to Richard Paul and Michael Scriven, “critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action” (1987). Although the development of critical thinking skills is a life- long effort, the projects implemented in the educational context have a relevant role regarding this aim. The present paper aims to describe the implementation of an experimental project regarding the promotion of critical thinking skills in a high educational context, developing subsequently an analysis of the student’s evaluation regarding this process. The students considered that their cognitive and thinking process become more organized and systematic, but also more deep and comprehensive. They also identify strengths in strategies implemented, that emphasizes the debate and argumentation, and also in the contents addressed, since these were related with pertinent issues for student’s life.
