Abstract

Following a model that conceptualizes the function of technology infrastructures (TIs), a set of principles to define a public financing methodology for these institutions is proposed. The problem of the public funding towards technologic innovation is analyzed in the context of the industrial policy, here considered as the state intervention in the market with the aims of improving the economic and social development. The specific issue of the financing of TI is integrated in the context of economic theory.
