Abstract
Working as a laboratory, the observation of the Portuguese branch of Christians by Socialism will enable the development of a broad reflection regarding the heterogeneity of the Portuguese Catholic universe. In this article, we aim to map the main axes of the debate of this group of Christians who “made a socialist choice”, in order to decipher the preponderance and role of this portion of contemporary Catholicism as a dynamic of political-religious militancy in the early 1970’s.
