Os diagnósticos de enfermagem em educação sexual em meio escolar: um estudo de caso

The Sexual Education in schools lies legislated in Portugal since the 80's. In 2009 specific legislation gave guidelines to its mandatory implementation by schools, supplemented by a specific rule that indicates the contents to be developed in each education degree. These guidelines require, to ensure effective health gains, effective liaison between health services and educational services so that, fulfilling the law, it is possible concerted intervention to potentiate indicators of health gains. With this case study, we follow the clinical decision making in nursing, in the context of school health intervention at a sexual education project. In order to identify the nursing diagnoses formulated for sexuality education in schools, we developed a qualitative study using document analysis as a technique, assessing school health nurses diagnoses documentation in a project developed in the academic year 2010/2011. It were identified specific diagnoses to the population of adolescents, family and teachers and we conclude that there is the possibility of integration of legal guidance in clinical decision making of nurses.
