Abstract

This year we celebrate 400 years of Father Antonio Vieira’s birth-day (1608-1897). This paper intends to approach Vieira ́s theology as the matrix to the thought of his Sermons. We point out the importance of this research area due to the fact that his theological work has not to been en-tirely published yet, which makes him an “illustrious unknown man”.The current stage of this matter will be verified here.
