Abstract

Based on a research in the Historical Documental Archive of the Judiciary Police Museum - with the objective of identifying and understanding the links between the Criminal Investigation Police and the Political Police during the period covered by this archive (1916 -1960 approximately) - this article identifies and analyzes a series of documentation, explicating the specific forms these links took within their legal framework, and their historical, political and social context in Portugal.
