Abstract
Portuguese Marimba Quartets is a project where Portuguese composers have been challenged to write for this rather unusual instrumentation. Drumming GP reinvents itself with this formation, in a programme where scenic and spatial elements play a fundamental role in each of the pieces and in the overall narrative of the performance as a whole.
