Abstract

The present application describes a method for obtaining peptide and polysaccharide extracts from Brewer's yeast autolysate by enzymatic hydrolysis and filtration techniques. Also described are the peptide and polysaccharide extracts obtained by said process and the use thereof for therapeutic purposes in medicine or as a medicinal drug for the treatment of hypertension, infectious diseases, gastric diseases or neoplasias. The present application additionally describes the compositions, foodstuffs, food supplements and food additives comprising said peptide and/or polysaccharide extracts.
