Abstract
In this text a project of collaborative interaction is presented (Project COPA –
Collaborate to Learn), focusing on the way this has been developed by the teachers of a private school in the district of Oporto. The project implies observation of lessons in a horizontal logic, centred on the promotion of professional development and on the improvement of educational practice.
The narrated experience makes it possible to conclude that the implementation of dynamics of observation of lessons still faces resistance from teachers. However, the proposal of a voluntary and free adhesion to a project of this nature, giving teachers the possibility of choosing the peers they would like to cooperate with and attributing them the responsibility for the choice of the observation objects and instruments, presents itself as a possible way of breaking that resistance, making these practices meaningful for teachers and an effective opportunity for professional development.
