Abstract
Tiago Freitas presents the sensus fidei as a theological principle of synodality: a gift of the Spirit that enables the whole People of God to discern the Truth, moving beyond the opposition between a teaching Church and a learning Church. He focuses on its germinal forms, the interstices of faith found in nominal believers, where grace works discreetly. Reception thus appears as the process through which Truth becomes life; when it is lacking, especially in pastoral matters, it reveals a theological sign that calls for renewed discernment. In this light, synodality emerges as a path of reciprocal conversion: the listening of the faithful enlightens the Magisterium and sustains ecclesial reform.
