Abstract
This study presents an overview of cyanotype photoreproductions, its production techniques and conservation particularities, collecting a basic theoretical reference. It shows that a large part of the theoretical reference about this material is divided into two moments: in the decades from 1870 to 1910 and from 1970 to 2010. In these periods, the terminology, production processes, and observation indicators to identify the distinct typologies of Prussian blue prints are addressed. Through this data, this research gathers parameters and criteria to characterize the material and aid the diagnosis and evaluation of deterioration, references and variables that will serve for chemical analysis, and expertise for the propositions of conservation treatments, appropriate for this type of material.
