Abstract
This article investigates objects related to the history of psychiatry and its therapeutics that were appropriated in an aesthetic or artistic way. Art can be, in these cases, either a value attributed a posteriori, in default of its author's intentions, or intentionally undertaken for a consuming public. With this, we propose to think about how straitjackets, medicine packaging, asylum spaces, and other elements have been transformed into stylized objects, whether by fashion or by art. Such objects have a huge and conflicting historical web and, therefore, we chose some unfoldings of this scenario in a contemporary moment.
