Abstract
The conceptual framework which was in the origin of the innovative model of Vocational Education in the 90's is turning 30 years old. It is urgent to build a referential that reaffirms its structuring principles in the light of the new demands of the 21st century and put an end to the traditional school conception of the 19th and 20th centuries which doesn´t work in the current context. A school able to train people, citizens and workers to live and work in the 4th industrial revolution, oriented towards positive change, to rethink pedagogical, organisational and evaluative practices and to identify the changes to be introduced in / to a Vocational School of the Future /a School 4.0. To answer these challenges of Vocational Education, the “School Network 4.0” has formed a transnational partnership to develop an Intellectual Output (IO) at European level under the Erasmus + programme, Key Action II, Project No. 2018-I-EN OI-KA 202-O4774463, lasting 3 years. The partnership consists of 4 schools from the “School Network 4.0” involving three entities with different valences and geographical coverage from Denmark, Greece and Belgium and with the scientific and pedagogical consultancy of researchers from the Centre for Studies in Human Development (CEDH) and consultants of the Education Improvement Support Service (SAME), from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Católica Porto, Portugal. For the dissemination of this IO, EfVET is especially involved in the promotion, dissemination and development of training activities, during the 6 months after the project termination, and with the School Education Gatway, and E-Twinning and EPALE platforms. Following a naturalistic research methodology, and a strategic approach to Appreciative Inquiry (AI), in the first stage of the Cycle (AI-5), a questionnaire survey was applied to the intergal stakeholders of all schools in the partnership, to assess their expectations and the perception of the state of the art of the current school. The purpose of this communication is to make known the results from the application of this survey.
