«Sereis com anjos»: Angeologia e escatologia

In this article, we offer a reflection on the eschatological valence of angeology. Angels are the symbol of consummate sociability in eternal life, of the communal greatness of Heaven, of the beauty of life eternally celebrated in praise and worship, of the luminous face of the person in his relational fullness (personal glorious body in the glorious body of Christ). They are, by excellence, the typification of the eschatological language marked by the symbol and the metaphor, by the indication of a reality other than the reference to the known and the experienceable.Procuramos apresentar, no presente artigo, uma reflexão sobre a valência escatológica da angeologia. Os anjos são o símbolo da sociabilidade consumada na vida eterna, da grandeza comunitária do Céu, da beleza da vida eternamente celebrada em louvor e adoração, do rosto luminoso da pessoa em sua plenitude relacional (corpo glorioso pessoal no corpo glorioso de Cristo). Eles são, por excelência, a tipificação da linguagem escatológica marcada pelo símbolo e pela metáfora, pela indicação de uma realidade outra para além da referência ao conhecido e ao experimentável.
