Abstract

Of paramount importance was his work on ethics, which expands. Pascal's idea of an - ordo cordis - by the construction of a hierarchical system of values. He taught that values as objective qualities are disclosed in feelings, which have a cognitive function and, thus, aid in the fabrication of a priori theories in all realms of being. But the recognition of the realms of universal values, a sector of which forms the ethos of a given age, has to be supplemented by that of the order of the time with its individual values, and claims.
