Abstract

This invention reports the development of a natural and sustainable cosmetic emulsifier based on by-products. We purpose a new emulsifier based on the holocellulose molecule and not cellulose and the carboxymethylation of holocellulose to produce a new cosmetic ingredient that acts as a O/w emulsifier, thickener, and jellifying agent.
