    Abstract

The present study aims to analyze the working conditions and workers health effects in the Private Security. We chose a quantitative methodology by applying the Work and Health Survey (INSAT) as well as a qualitative approach by conducting semi-structured interviews. The results showed that the perception of employees towards risk pointed to the exposure to various types of risk inherent in the performance of their activities including physical risks, psychosocial, organizational and also relational constraints. Globally, they contributing to enhance and exacerbate the health problems of exposed workers and also suggest the need for intervention in the working conditions of these workers. In this sense, it is necessary to join efforts, so that the managers of companies and those responsible for monitoring the health of these workers develop more contextualized interventions in this activity.
