Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic brought about an urgent need for educational institutions to transition to online teaching models in order to ensure continuity of learning for students. However, simply transferring physical classes to an online format is not enough. It is crucial to employ effective techniques to maintain student engagement, interest, and knowledge retention. Online teaching requires a different approach than physical, as students may face more distractions and require shorter, more focused segments of content delivery. The School of Arts - UCP has successfully addressed these challenges and developed effective methodologies for delivering high-quality online teaching experiences. This article provides insights into the main challenges faced during the transition to online teaching, as well as the solutions adopted by the School of Arts - UCP. By sharing these experiences, this chapter aims to assist as a roadmap for other educational institutions facing similar challenges and seeking to adapt their teaching methods to an online format.
