The development of Trauma Sensitive Care Evaluation Questionnaire (TSCEQ)

Abstract

Our research team start to address the crucial task of build instruments that will allow to characterize and evaluate the Portuguese organizational contexts (residential care homes context, school context) considering their policies and practices and their alignment to trauma sensitive care principles and guidelines (ex. SAMHSA, NCTSN). Grounded in the consensual components that frame a trauma sensitive care context, TSCEQ, includes the following dimensions: Organization´s Policies and Practices; Staff training; Supervision support and Self-care; Physical environment. Open and ended questions offers directions for professional capacity building and organizational change.
