Abstract
After 9/11 a lot of radical Islamists have reinvented themselves as moderates and defenders of the rule of law. However, Islamism is a totalitarian political ideology based in a religion (Islam) that also uses internet to disseminate their radical ideas. Indeed, under the cover of anonymity, people and information can gain a tremendous importance, and facts and fiction can be easily mixed: the ideal ground for extremist ideas to flourish. Good cyber intelligence analysts are those who have a strong understanding of their adversaries and are able to develop tactics to combat current attacks and plan better for future threats. This presentations defends that CYBINT analysts must have Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) if they want to fight this ideology on the web, especially in order to keep the security model as proactive (and not reactive).
