Abstract
Traditionally, an inmate convicted for terrorism behaves differently from the typical inmate because he understands that he was jailed for his ideas – and not the actions that he has taken. On the other end, the jails are a privileged place concerning radicalization and recruitment for the jihadist terrorism.

jihadist threat, with the scope to propose several measures to combat this phenomenon, and to proceed in the end with a counterpoint regarding the penal Portuguese system.
